Character Creation
Attributes
12 Spread
Instead of 5/4/3 spread. You get a general pool of 12 instead. You can spread it anyway you want , but you can raise about 4.
Three Alone
Mental, Physical and Social are all grouped together.
You get to choose Exceptional in one (you get 3 but 4 if you choose and roll with a skill associated with one of those attributes) ,Superior (3 dots in all of an area), and Average (2 in all of an area).
Skills
Catch 22
Similar to 12 spread. You get 22 pool that you can spend anyway you want , but you can't raise any above 4. And you get three specialties.
Three Plus
Determine Physical,Mental and Social as Superior, Average and Unpracticed. You get two dots in Superior (in all skills in that area), 1 in average(in all skills in that area), unpracticed (=0, but not penalty).
You also get 5 specialties.
Merits
Described by players and more story based. As opposed to just mechanics. e.g.
"Ivory Time Academic"
"Quirky MIT Graduate"
